McCALLION, LAWRENCE J., 84, of Wildwood Crest, NJ passed away on Wednesday, January 29th 2014. He was born in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a retired Philadelphia detective. He later owned and operated the Hialeah Motel. He was predeceased by his wife of 50 years Edna Dorothy ( nee Belansen). He is survived by his three children, Michael, Kathleen, David and his wife Kelly. He has four grandchildren, David Jr., Elizabeth, Kathryn and Lauren. His brother James McCallion ( Marion), his sisters, Marie Rothstein, Anna Martin ( George), Kathleen Koelle ( Ronald) and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Monday, February 3 at Notre Dame de la Mer Parish at Assumption Church 7101 Seaview Ave., Wildwood Crest, NJ where friends may call from 10 am to10:45 am at the church. Entombment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lower Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to Wildwood Catholic High School, 1500 Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ 08260 would be appreciated.
