MATTERA, DAVID ALFREDO, 56 of Goshen, NJ – passed away April 7, 2017 peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was predeceased by his mother Clara Mattera. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Mattera nee Swan, his sons Chad (So-Young), Jared (Ashley), Kyle(Karylin), and daughter Gabriell (Mike), his father Jack Mattera, his aunt Christina Taglialatela, his brothers Jack (Tery) and Matthew (Christine), his grandchildren Yu-Jin, Yae-Jin, Abigail, and his nieces Caitlin and Elizabeth Mattera. David was an avid outdoorsman, past member of the Angelsea Fire Company, past chief of the Goshen Fire Company, former R.N. at Burdette-Tomlin Hospital, Shore Memorial Hospital, Cooper Hospital, and Critical Care Transport Nurse for Millville Rescue Squad. He was also listed in Who’s Who in American Nursing for his research contributions to the field. David was a very loving and caring man that helped countless lives during his career. His compassion and love for his family was unparalleled. He often enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowboarding, vacationing and kayaking with his family. His children knew him as a source of constant support and love, while he simultaneously remained a steadfast soul mate for his wife. Funeral Services will Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Interment is private.
