MACKEOWN, JAMES A., JR., Beloved Husband and Father James A. MacKeown Jr age 70 of Dennisville NJ, Pass away on Friday 20 November 2015. James was born October 12, 1945 in Orange NJ. He graduated from Netcong High school in 1963. He attended Tri-State University in Indiana until 1966 when he chose to enlist in the USAF during the Vietnam war. He served 4 years in active duty and then transition to the USAF reserves until retirement in 1986. He transitioned from the USAF to the NJ Department of Corrections. He worked the majority of his time as a corrections officer for Bayside State Prison. He retired as a Senior Corrections Officer after 27 years in 2004. After retirement he spent his time with is loving wife and family. He also enjoyed volunteering at local animal shelters and during that volunteer time he rescued 8 dogs giving them a home and lot of love. He is survived by his wife Marie, Son James MacKeown III, Daughter Adrianna MacKeown & Fiance (Sam), Daughter Kristine Whiteis & Husband (Harrison), and Grandson Harrison James Whiteis. His Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, NJ, where visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
