MABRY, JR., CHARLES HENRY was born November 19, 1945, the first born son of Charles Henry Mabry, Sr. and Constance Marie Johnson. He departed this life on August 7, 2017 at his home in Whitesboro, NJ.
Charles was a lifelong resident of Whitesboro and attended the Whitesboro Grammar School and Middle Township High School. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Pickaway and USS Paul Revere from 1963 to 1966 and was honorably discharged.
Upon his discharge from the Navy, Charles took on a union job with a construction company in Atlantic City. He was very particular about his work being masterful and creative.
In his spare time he loved to fish. He would go out for hours on end and come home with a bucket full of nothing. You could also find “June Bug”, as he was called by friends and family, on the nearest golf course. When he wasn’t on the golf course or at a fishing hole you could find him picking fresh vegetables from his garden so he could run to the kitchen and whip up a new recipe with success.
Charles was predeceased by his father, Charles Henry Mabry, Sr., his mother, Constance Marie Johnson, and his brother and best friend, Robert Ward Mabry.
He leaves many fond memories for his children: Kavysania Ogles-Mabry, Marcus Mabry, Charles Mabry III, Constance Williams, Donald Mabry, Julia Mabry, and Crystal Hatcher; his aunt Carolyn Patton and uncle Albert Mabry, Sr.; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Viewing will be from 10 to 11 a.m. and service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment is private. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
