LOWRY, DOROTHY K. (Westcott), 77, of North Wildwood, NJ passed away peacefully Sunday morning Oct. 6, 2013. Daughter of the late Carlton and Dorothy Westcott. Born in Atlantic City where she grew up in the Ducktown Section. Graduated from Atlantic City High School and Thomas Jefferson Nursing School in Philadelphia. Dorothy and her husband Joseph moved to North Wildwood in 1960 where they started a family and raised their four sons. She worked for Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital for 35 years. Upon retiring, she continued her nursing with Volunteers In Medicine. A compassionate and a woman of great faith. She will be sadly missed by her sons Joseph, Sean, Timothy (Debbie) and Matthew Lowry. Grandchildren Maura and Grace Lowry, Sister in Law, Sister Maureen Lowry (Sister of Mercy Order). Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2005. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Friday Oct. 11 at Notre Dame de la Mer Parish in St. Anns Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends may call from 9 AM. Interment will be in the Veterans Cemetery, Middle Township, NJ Donations in her memory to the Love of Linda Cancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260 would be appreciated.
