William J Little of North Cape May, NJ passed away surrounded by family on January 19, 2020. He was 73.He will be missed by family and friends alike.William is survived by his wife Patricia Little (nee McMillan) and his daughter Patricia Zitkus (Leo). He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews Audrey Mondelli (Carmen), Linda Booy (Larry), George Phillips, William Phillips (Marci), James McMillan (Jennifer), Michelle McMillan and Anne-Marie McMillan, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.William is also survived by his cousin Stanley Little of Delaware.He was preceded in death by his parents William R. and Edna Little, his sisters Dorothy Phillips and Virginia Vinci.William was a veteran of the United States Air Force and continued to serve his country with the Air National Guard until retirement. In his civilian life William was employed by the borough of Wildwood Crest before moving on in his career to the Cape May County MUA, from which he retired.William lived a full life, engaging in his passions whenever possible. He was an avid collector of Lionel Trains often constructing a sizable display each Christmas season to entertain not only himself and his daughter Patti but the extended family, especially the small children in his life. He had a love of scuba diving which he discovered during his service in the Philippines. Bill and Pat worked to enjoy vacations at various Caribbean islands so that he could further engage in this passion, even making sure Pat learned to snorkel so that she could also experience a part of his adventures. Throughout life, Bill could often be found tinkering with computers and audio visual equipment.Later in life he became an advocate for animal rescue and was the proud pet parent to several rescued cats over the years. When he wasn’t engaged in the more physical activities he could be found reading mystery novels with his cat by his side.He will be remembered for his passions in life.Viewing and Services will be held January 25 at Ingersoll-Greenwood Funeral Home, 1201 Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ.
