LEWIS, JUANITA EILEEN PAYNE

LEWIS, JUANITA EILEEN PAYNE, 66, of Woodbine, NJ, peacefully entered eternal rest on August 14, 2017 in her sleep. Juanita was born on September 14, 1950 in Atlantic City, NJ to the late Charles and Beatrice Payne. Juanita attended Woodbine Elementary School and graduated from Millville Senior High School in 1968. Juanita continued her education and received her nursing degree at Cape May County Vocational Technical Center. Juanita worked at the Woodbine Developmental School and retired after 25 years of service. On September 20, 1968 Juanita married the love of her life Raymond D. Lewis and moved to Benlock, Germany, with her husband while he was serving his country. To this union two children were born, Cassandra Marie Lewis and Raymond D. Lewis Jr. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, sister Melanie Payne, and son Raymond. Juanita leaves to cherish her memories husband Raymond Lewis and daughter Cassandra Marie Lewis and her companion, friend and buddy Max. She also leaves two brothers Charles Payne of Montclair, NJ and Stephen Payne (Rene) of Franklin, MA and one sister, Robin Davis (Alexander) of Durham, NC. She leaves two aunts Doris Stokes (Robert) of Landover, MD, Josephine Payne of Philadelphia, PA, three sisters-in-law Ann Rose of Woodbridge, VA, Bertha Johnson (Linwood) of Montross, VA, and Sandra Lewis of Hague, VA. Juanita also leaves three brothers-in-law Rev. Randolph Lewis (Shirley) of Callao, VA, Joe Lewis of Hague, VA and James Lewis of Atlantic City, NJ. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Lenora Fords and Linda Murray.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at The SOAR Church, 1324 DeHirsch Avenue, Woodbine, NJ 08270, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Head Of The River Cemetery, Estell Manor, NJ. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
