LEFKOE, ARTHUR, age 90, of Audubon, Pa formerly of Lansdale, Conshohocken, Lafayette Hill, Glenside and Plymouth Meeting, Pa., as well as Avalon, N.J. — died Saturday at his home in Audubon, Pa. He was 90 years old. He was predeceased by his wife Rebecca (Field), and is survived by a daughter Janet Dransfield (Jon) of Worcester, Pa.; a daughter Susan Moore (Timothy) of Plymouth Meeting; and a sister Clare Udis of Boulder, Colo. He will also be missed by a grandson Colby Dransfield (Danielle) and great-grandsons Evan and Nathan of West Chester, Pa.; a grandson Steven (Andrea) and great-grandson Cameron of Conshohocken.; a granddaughter Jessica of Philadelphia; a grandson Ryan of Philadelphia; and his dear friend and companion Carla Morgan, of Audubon. Lefkoe served as a U.S. Army Military Police Officer during World War II before earning his law degree from Temple University and practicing law for 40 years in Montgomery County. He was one of the founders of Ply-Mar Swim and Tennis Club, where he was also president of the board. He also served as president of the board at Or Ami Synagogue, Suburban General Hospital and Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed playing tennis, sailing in the waters off Avalon, N.J. and playing or listening to music. He loved cheering for — and screaming at — his beloved Phillies, Sixers, Eagles and Temple Owls. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27 at Haym Salomon Memorial Park 200 Moores Road in Frazer, Pa19355.
