KURTZ SR., ALFRED J. “AL”, 91 – of Wildwood Crest. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, May 2, 2013. Al was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps. Former owner and operator of Kurtz’s Restaurant and Dock in Wildwood Crest. He was formerly employed at the Avalon Golf Club. Predeceased by his parents, Alfred P. and Mary V. (Watters) Kurtz and his sister, Mary Simonis (Elmer). Survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mary M. (Mahoney) Kurtz ; two sons, Alfred J. Kurtz, Jr. and James C. Kurtz (Betsy); four grandchildren, Micaela Godin, James P., Mariann H., and Johan C. Kurtz. Brother, Charles Kurtz (Virginia); mother-in-law, Marguerite F. Mahoney; brothers-in-law, James R. Mahoney, Jr. (Betsy) and Dennis J. Mahoney (Kitty) and sister-in-law, Kathryn M. Steiger (John) and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at Notre Dame de la Mer Parish, Assumption Church, 7100 Seaview Ave, Wildwood Crest.
