KONRAD, ELIZABETH J. RUTHERFORD (“Betty”), age 94, of Cape May Court House passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Cape Regional Med. Center. Elizabeth was born August 22, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA. She was formerly of Villanova and Havertown, PA until moving to Ocean City in 1987. She is the daughter of the late Chauncey and the late Fairy Jean (Toomey) Knisley. Betty was employed by Ridley Park Elementary School, Ridley Park, PA as a teacher. She is survived by two sons: Richard (Kathleen) Rutherford of Cape May, NJ, and Daniel (Dianne) Rutherford of West Cape May; and her daughter Joyce (Jim) Sorenson of Toms River, NJ. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Rutherford, Sr. and her second husband Robert Konrad. Betty was a lover of all animals and the family suggests donations in Bettys memory to an animal rescue of the donor’s choice.
