KAHNKE, JONATHAN J., 59 – of Cape May Court House, NJ passed away peacefully on March 2, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Redwood Falls, MN and would later serve in the US Army. Jonathan moved from Fort Dix to Cape May County in 1982 and worked as an LPN. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans and the VFW. Jon loved to bowl and loved his morning coffee with friends. He had bravely battled brain cancer for 34 years. Jon is survived by his wife of 37 years, Mary (formerly Brown); sons Jonathan and Joshua (Emily) Kahnke; his parents Ambrose and Jean Kahnke; and his blonde, blue-eyed beauty granddaughter Kinsley Mae. Memorial service will be Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Interment will follow at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery. Donations may be made in Jon’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
