JAMES, ROBERT SCOTT, of Rolla, Missouri passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Rolla Manor Care at the age of 87. Robert was born on January 22, 1928 in Wildwood, New Jersey to the late Herbert C. and Lillian (Rice) James. After graduating high school Robert proudly served his Country in the United Sates Army during the Korean War. On September 23, 1950 he married the love of his life Miss Bette J. Killian, this union was blessed with three children. Robert had a green thumb and was know for his big beautiful gardens, he always made sure he had a nice vegetable garden that he would share with family, friends, and neighbors; he was also know for his superior “sidewalk supervisor” skills, which meant that anyone building in the neighborhood knew that Robert would be watching to make sure the builders were doing it right, and if they weren’t he didn’t hesitate to call them on it; Robert worked for Exxon Oil, delivering gas to gas stations and heating oil in the winter around Cape May County he retired from Exxon in 1985; he enjoyed his family, and spending time with family and friends was very important to him; he was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, and friend and will be loving missed. Survivors include his children, Susan Brevoort and husband Harry, of Licking, MO, Robert James II and wife Claudia, of Edgar Springs, MO, and Barbara Elliott and husband Gene, of Woodbine, NJ; grandchildren, Robert James III, Kymberly Grishow, Michael Graham; great-grandchildren, Robert James IV, Michaela Graham, and Kylie Graham; a host of extended family and friends. In addition to his parents Robert was preceded in death by his wife Bette, they shared 45 years together before her passing in 1995. Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Monday, November 16, 2015 at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
