HOFFMAN, JR., S. NORMAN, age 74, of South Dennis, NJ died March 17, 2014. He was born in Cape May Court House, NJ, the son of the late Samuel Norman and Isabelle Elizabeth Biddle Hoffman, Sr. He was a Middle Township High School graduate and Seton Hall University. Norman retired from the New Jersey State Police as a Sergeant First Class after thirty years of service. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the F.& A.M. Arbutus Masonic Lodge #150 of Cape May Court House, and a Shriner. He served in the United States Army. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Shivers; his children: Kurt C.; Mark H.; Isabelle R. Bradley Weed and her husband, Jim; and Sandy M. Cowan and her husband, Steve; a brother, Winston and his wife, Shirley and their daughter, Kelly; ten grandchildren: Daniel, Raymond, Gabrielle, Samantha, Rachel, Corrin, Reid, Tristyn, Evan, and Erin; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul. A funeral service will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2373 Rt. 9, Ocean View, NJ on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., where friends may call 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at the Church. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery, Cape May Court House, NJ.
