HARVEY, CAROL JOY, 74, of Cape May Court House, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017. Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late John and Agnes Artese Donato, she moved to Cape May Court House from Mount Laurel in 1974. She graduated from St. Hubert High School for Girls in 1960 and received her bachelor’s degree from Holy Family College in 1964 and her master’s degree in education from Temple in 1967.Carol was foundress and chief interior designer of Charles Harvey Home Furnishings. She previously was a teacher in the Philadelphia Public School System and an adjunct professor at ACCC. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, the Wildwood Civic Club and the Mount Laurel Ethics Committee. She also served on the Foundation Board at ACCC. She was an accomplished equestrian rider and loved spending time with her grandchildren.Carol is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles F. Harvey, III; her daughter, Allison Valtri (Steven); her grandchildren, Madison and Macey; her sister; and her niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Christopher T. Harvey.Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Church, 35 East Mechanic Street, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cold Spring.
