HARRIS, WAYNE G.

HARRIS, WAYNE G., 60, of Stone Harbor, NJ, died peacefully in his sleep on January 9, 2014 He was born in Cape May Court House, NJ, the son of the late George T. and Laura Mae Lenderman Harris and was a lifetime area resident. A master plumber, Wayne was owner and president of Harris Plumbing and Heating, Inc. and served as Treasurer of Cape May County Association of the NJ State League of Master Plumbers He was an Eagle Scout and a Boy Scout Leader. He was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Stone Harbor. He was also a member of the Garden Club of Stone Harbor and Friends of Stone Harbor Bird Sanctuary. Wayne served as Chairman of the Cape May County Pollution Control Financing Authority, Life Member and Lieutenant of the Stone Harbor Volunteer Firehouse, Past President of the Stone Harbor Republican Club, and Cape May County Assistant Republican Leader. Wayne is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diana Clelland Harris; and his son and daughter-in-law, Morgan and Katie Harris. Wayne will be remembered for his kindness, gentle spirit and his love of his community and his family. Services will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church, 93rd Street and Third Avenue, Stone Harbor on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. The family is requesting no flowers please.
