HARER II, WILLIAM L.

HARER II, WILLIAM L., 89, of Cold Spring passed away on February 17, 2014. Born in Pittsburgh, PA to Edwin and Frances Harer, he would later serve in the US Navy and Coast Guard before working as a truck driver. He was a member of the VFW Post 5343 of Villas and the American Legion Post 1000. Besides being an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, he loved gardening, raising chickens, and his John Deere Tractors. He is a longtime member and was very involved at the Seashore Church of the Nazarene. He was liked by everyone and made it a point to become friends with everyone he met. William is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dottie; his son Donald and daughter Melody (Brad) Carpentar; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was predeceased by his children, Gary, David, and Marla. Funeral Services will be in Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Seashore Church of The Nazarene, 446 Seashore Road, Erma, NJ 08204. Viewing will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Tabernacle Cemetery. Family requests that you not wear black. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
