HANDY, JR., JAMES M., longtime resident of West Chester, now of Baltimore, MD passed away on Monday, August 5, 2013. Born to James and Marjorie (formerly Young) Handy, Sr. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. He later served under Admiral Rickover in the US Navys Naval nuclear propulsion program. After serving in the Navy, he went to work for Chalmers and Kubeck where he was a partner in the company. He was a member of the Stone Harbor Yacht Club and enjoyed traveling, the beach, sailing, camping, and trains. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Susan (formerly Chalmers); son James M.Handy III; daughters Beth DeFluri and Jennifer Malcom; and grandchildren: Elizabeth, John, Megan, Ryan, Thomas, Teagan, and Torrey. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday August 12th at 11;00 am at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 10 W. Pleasant Grove Rd., West Chester, PA 19382.
