HAND, ANNE PATRICIA, 88 – of Stone Harbor, NJ – the beloved matriarch of the Hand family, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2017 at the age of 88. Anne was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anne Menzel of Philadelphia, PA. Anne was a lifelong resident of Stone Harbor, NJ.If you were lucky, she would share her stories and photographs of early days on Seven Mile Island. Anne was predeceased by her loving husband and high school sweetheart, Arden Hand. Together, Anne and Arden ran Stone Harbor mainstay, Fred’s Tavern. Nothing mattered more, or made Anne prouder, than her family. Her legacy will continue with her six children, Patricia James, James Hand, Donna Brown, Kathleen Todaro, Paul Hand and Thomas Hand, as well as her sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Anne’s family will celebrate her life on Friday, November 3, 2017 at St. Brendan The Navigator Parish, St. Paul’s Church, 9910 Third Ave., Stone Harbor, NJ 08247. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Anne’s name to Sisters of IHM, 1140 King Rd., Immaculata, PA 19345..
