GREY, KATHRYN “KATHY” A. 68 – of Avalon, NJ passed away peacefully after a brief illness on September 16, 2017. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Ernest and Catherine Hall and raised her family in Richboro, PA before moving permanently to Avalon in 2004. Kathy worked at Sand Barrens Country Club where she was affectionately known as the “Beverage……”.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Michael “Zeke” Grey; daughters Jeanine Robbins and her husband Scott, and Betsy Knebels and her husband Steve; her siblings Nancy, Mary Jane, Margaret, Elizabeth, and Ernie; grandchildren: Brian, Jade, Amanda, Emily, Scottie, and Stephen; daughter-in-law Kim Grey; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Michael in 2008.
Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at St. Brendan The Navigator, Maris Stella Church, 50th Street and Dune Drive, Avalon, NJ 08202. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and Mass will follow at 12. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kathy’s name to Friend in Need, PO Box 5, Avalon, NJ 08202.
