GOLDEN, JOHN FRANCIS, age 88, of North Cape May passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at his home. John was born May 15, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA; was formerly from the Mayfair Section of that city; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1975. He is the son of the late Francis and the late Mary (Byrnes) Golden. John was a retired Police Officer for the City of Philadelphia. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Erma, NJ. He is survived by his three daughters: Barbara Golden SSJ, Kathleen Golden, and Carol Golden. Also surviving are his sister Estelle Hanney and numerous nieces & nephews. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at St Joseph Villa, 110 W Wissahickon Ave, Flourtown, PA 19031; where friends will be received after 10:00 AM.
