GERY, JANE BLAKELY, 81 “Jenny”– of Stone Harbor, NJ passed away at home on August 24, 2017 surrounded by her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late James R.Y. Blakely, Jr. and Mildred Blakely, Jenny was a graduate of Haddonfield Memorial HS and Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida (Class of 1957). She is survived by her husband, Philip C. Gery; her children: Alison Paige Sachs (Severna Park, MD) and Kurt Blakely Gery (San Ramon, CA); and her grandson, Tyler Prescott Chase (Severna Park, MD). Jenny was devoted to her family, including the many cats she sheltered and fostered through the years. She loved the beach, her garden, and singing (including membership in an international champion Sweet Adeline women’s barbershop chorus).
A Celebration of Life will be Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 12 noon at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. It will be a time of sharing for family and friends so please bring your stories and memories of Jenny. Jenny would want you to be comfortable and her family requests that you come in casual attire if you wish.
