GERMANO, LEONIDIO

GERMANO, LEONIDIOLeonidio Len Germano, 77, of Fleetwood, passed away on Wednesday March 15, 2017 at his home after his seven year battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Anna (Samila) Germano. They wre married for 47 years. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he was the son of the late Esther (Gonsalves) Germano and the late Leonidio Germano of Sao Paulo, Brazil. Prior to his residency in Fleetwood, he was a resident of Cape May County, NJ for thirty years and Philadelphia, for twenty. Len migrated to the United States in 1966 to discover a new life full of hope and adventure. Upon arrival Len received his naturalization and worked a few jobs while also going to school to learn the plastic slipcover trade. He then opened up his own business in the mid-70s making plastic slipcovers and doing upholstery. It was his fine work and excellent service that brought many to come to know and love him throughout the Delaware Valley Region. Len will be remembered for many things: his great sense of humor, warm smile, hearty laughter, gentle eyes, tender greeting to all would meet him, and his love for life, his Lord, his family, scenic car rides, and soccer. Len was also quite the dancer in his day and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music from sambas to sweet hymns of praise. Lens love for the outdoors and nature was often captured by anyone who would join him on his long walks, bike rides and runs down the boardwalk and on the beach. Len also had a very big heart and it was this heart that carried great compassion as he helped the homeless, the hungry, the sick, the abandoned, the abused and those who just needed a roof over their head for a night. Through he never acquired much material value, he gave much and loved much more. Len will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children: his daughter, Sonya Germano Naugle, wife of Nathanael, Fleetwood, PA; and his son Lenny Germano, husband of Susanne, Santa Barbara, CA; five siblings: Erasmo Germano husband of Maria Elena, Sao Palo, Brazil; Otoniel Germano husband of the late Anna Maria, Sao Paulo, Brazil: Preside wife of the late Walenty Naumiec, Cape Coral, FL; Priscilla wife of the late Daniel Drag, Atglen,PA; and Ted Germano, Philadelphia, PA; and six grandchildren: Rachel (Naugle) Rohrbach, wife of Kurtis Rohrbach, Bethel, PA , Benjamin Naugle, Samuel Naugle, Susanna Naugle, all of Fleetwood, PA; and Skyla Germano, Santa Barbara, CA, Sienna Germano, Santa Barbara, CA and one great-grandchild due in June.
