GEMMELL, DOREEN FLICKINGER “Wynki”, 65 of Cold Spring passed away on July 20. She grew up in West Cape May and graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School in 1966. She worked as a nurse, but became a stay at home mom to her to beloved children. She was a PTA president and cheerleader coach. She later became a teacher’s aide for Cape May County Special Services. She was a life guard and taught swimming after school and in her backyard pool during the summer. She enjoyed gardening and home decorating. Wynki had an extensive knowledge of Cape May County and resident genealogy. She will be remembered for her never ending optimism, courageous spirt, caring nature, willingness to help people, being a beloved friend, and an incredible mother. Wynki is predeceased by her first husband Reed L. Flickinger, her father Henry Branigan, her brother Thomas Branigan, her second husband David S. Gemmell. She is survived by her son Reed Eric Flickinger, her daughter Kirsten Flickinger, her mother Doris Branigan, sister Maureen Aguilar, nephew Patricio Aguilar, niece Colleen Aguilar, sister Coleen Black, brother-in-law Robert Black, niece Kaitlin Black, brother-in-law Ralph Flickinger, sister-in-law Joan Flickinger, nephews Scott & David Flickinger, sister-in law Virginia Petersen, nephews Mark & Keith Petersen, brother-in-law Jeffrey Gemmell, sister-in-law Laurie Shettle, and mother-in-law Patricia Gemmell.
