FEITZ, PATRICIA (NEE BUTLER), 85, of Cape May passed away peacefully on June 12, 2013. Born on July 4, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pa, Patti was the daughter of James Butler and Emma Duling. She grew up in Germantown and attended the Friends School before she moved to Cape May and graduated from Cape May High School in 1944. After high school, Patti was working as a waitress at the Hotel Macomber where she met the love of her life, George. Together the two of them went on to own/operate the Winchester Inn for over 40 years. Patti was a past President of the Cape May – PTA, a member of the Cape May Historical Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, and helped her husband in the formation of the Cape May Little League; she was also a member of the Eastern Star. Patti is predeceased by her husband of 60 years, George; her brothers, Anthony Butler and James Butler; sister-in-law, Mary Alice Feitz. Patti will be dearly missed by her loving family which includes her two daughters, Susan Sparks (Michael), Laurie Cannon (Vernon); granddaughters: Amie Schroder (Mack), Erin Ridgway (Joe), Rachel Taylor; great-grandchildren: Haley, Kyra, Jackson, and Gavin; niece: Irene Maloney (Frank) Patti lived a long and happy life. She loved the beach, BINGO, reading, Sudoku, her cats (Emma, Gus, Cole and Petunia), and baking cakes for her family and friends. She was the Worlds most awesome mom and mom-mom. Graceful and elegant and always a lady, Patti will be in our hearts forever, Love you “Stuff”! Her funeral service will be held on Monday (June 17th) at 11:30AM in the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church, 780 Seashore Rd., N. Cape May where there will be a viewing prior to the service from 10AM 11:20AM. Interment will take place in Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetery, Lower Twp. Memorial contributions are suggested in Patti’s memory to an animal shelter of the donors choice.
