EVANS, HOWARD A., 87, formerly of Avalon, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Martin Medical Center in Stuart, FL. He was born in Camden, NJ to the late Raymond A. and Edna M. (Watson) Evans and lived in Avalon before moving to Hobe Sound, FL. A Navy Veteran of World War II, he was formerly employed as a manager at NJ Bell and then at Ferguson-Dechert Real Estate. He was a member of Wildwood Golf and Country Club and enjoyed playing golf. He also had a large collection of golf balls.
Mr. Evans is survived by his four children, Judy May and her husband, Paul, of Ocean View, NJ, Sue Tozour and her husband, George, of Goshen, NJ, Bruce Evans and his wife, Dawn, of Clermont, NJ, and Howard “Corky” Evans and his wife, Claire, of Easton, MA; his grandchildren, Brian, Jeff, Morgan, Shane, Jared (Jackie), Kyle, Drew, Ryan and Maeve, and his great granddaughter, Emmalyn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne B. Evans on October 7, 2007.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House, where visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
