DURR, MARIE B., 94, passed away peacefully March 10, 2014. She was born November 22, 1919 in Plainfield, NJ. She was the beloved wife of Frank Durr and lived in North Jersey until 1974 and moved to Stone Harbor. Marie had a love for nature, sewing, reading, music, cooking and most of all her family. Her kind soul and gentle nature will be greatly missed. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Frank, son Brian Phillip, her brothers Edward and Leonard Reiss, sister Gertrude and son-in-law George Salvesen. She is survived by her children Michael Reiss Durr (Darla Thompson), Mary Salvesen; grandchildren Brian, Ross (Lyndsey), Leif, George, Jr., great-grandson William Salvesen; and her brother Bernard Reiss (Elward). Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM at Saint Brendan the Navigator, 50th Street and Dune Drive in Avalon.
