DONALDSON, DONALD D., age 61, of Cape May passed away suddenly Saturday, November 19, 2016 at his home. Don was an exceptional scholar-athlete at Haddonfield Memorial High School, where he earned the Brooks-Irvine Offensive Lineman of the Year Award in 1972. He served in the US Marine Corps for 6 years following his graduation from the US Naval Academy in 1977. Don was the former owner of the Peter Shields Inn and Moonfish Restaurant in Cape May. He is survived by his beloved wife: Mary Beth (nee Herbert) Donaldson; one daughter: Kathryn; two sons: Donald (Jessica) J Donaldson & Jeffrey Donaldson; and two grandchildren. Also survived by his siblings: Jan (Mark) Pask and Robert (Susan) Donaldson.
