DONAHUE, ALBERT J., 89, of Cape May Courthouse, formerly from North Wildwood, passed away on May 27th, Memorial Day. He was surrounded by his family who will miss him so much. Born in Philadelphia, PA. He is predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Mary, his parents, Eva and Joe Donahue and five sisters. He served in the U.S. Army Airforce during WWll in England and in the Korean War. After the war he worked for Tasty Kake for 25 years, five years for Christ the King Church as a maintenance engineer. After retirement he moved to North Wildwood where he worked for 30 years as maintenance engineer for St. Ann’s Church in Wildwood. Here he had his fondest memories, he ran bingo for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW. He is survived by his five children, Al, Mary Theresa, Michael, Eileen and Paul. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, David, Louis, Jeannie, Shannon, Caitrin, Erica, Mary Elizabeth and Paul. He has five great grandchildren, Adon, Andrew, Emily, Mary and Ava Grace, son in law, Robert Champion, and daughter in laws, Cookie and Rose Donahue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be clebrated on June 4th at Notre Dame de la Mer Parish, St. Ann’s Church, 2900 Atlantic Ave., Wildwood, NJ where friends and family are invited to call from 9:30 to 11 am.
