DISCEPOLA, MICHAEL F. (“Mike”), of Villas passed away Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Cooper Medical Center of Camden, NJ. Mike was born in Philadelphia, PA; was formerly of the Germantown Section of that city; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1969. He is the son of the late Ralph and the late Elizabeth (Strouse) Discepola. Mike served his country in the US Army as a Paratrooper and a Cook during the Vietnam War. He was a self employed General Contractor for over 25 years operating as A-Z Home Improvements of Villas, NJ. Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Erma, the Villas VFW, and a long time parishioner of St Raymond’s RC Church of Villas. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph & Elizabeth Discepola; his brother Ralph Discepola, Jr.; and his Uncle Carmen. Surviving are: his wife Nancy (nee Hogan) Discepola, his son Thomas (Trudy) Discepola, his daughter Danielle Discepola, his son Nicholas Discepola, and he was graciously awaiting his first grandchild. Also surviving are his siblings: Joseph (Marion) Discepola, Anne Mueller, Anthony Discepola, Kathleen Discepola, Agnes (George) Bross, Stephen (Lisa) Discepola, and many loving nieces, nephews, & cousins. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private at Cape May County Veteran’s Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
