DINELLA, BETTY JEAN

DINELLA, BETTY JEAN, 88, transformed to her eternal home Sunday, November 08, 2015. She was born in West Union, West Virginia to Charles and Bessie Powell. Betty was the youngest of five children and graduated from Doddridge County High School. Later she moved to Collingswood, New Jersey to be closer with her sister, Helen Buff, after the death of her parents. In 2008, Betty and her loving husband of 65 years, John, moved to their vacation home in Stone Harbor, NJ. She was a member of Saint Brendan the Navigator Roman Catholic Church. Betty will be especially remembered for her quick wit and unique culinary specialties including her clams-casino, Italian meatballs, deviled eggs, potato salad, and “Betty Chicken.” Survivors include her husband, John J. Dinella, of Stone Harbor NJ, two daughters, Jonanna Dinella, of Philadelphia, PA, and Marianne Stapleton and her husband, Bob Stapleton, of Cary, NC, two grandsons, Chris Stapleton and his wife, Sasha Gomez, Apex NC, and Matt Stapleton, of San Francisco, CA, and one great-grandson, Oliver Stapleton, of Apex, NC. The family will welcome guests at 9:30 followed by Mass at 10:00 AM at Saint Paul’s RC Church at 9910 3rd Ave, Stone Harbor, NJ 08247. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at Calvary Cemetery, 2398 State Hwy No 70 W, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 .
