DeBLASE, DOMENICK A. “DON”, 74, of Woodbine, NJ, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his home. Born in Philadelphia, PA to the late Cosimo and Catherine Gualtieri DiBlasi, he moved to the New Jersey shore in 2009 after living in Wilmington, DE for 34 years. A graduate of West Catholic High School in 1959 and Temple University in 1965, he worked as a high school English teacher then as co-owner of Bachetti Bros. Meat Market in Wilmington. He also worked at Christiana Bank and Trust. He was an active member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish St. Casimir Church in Woodbine. He enjoyed traveling with his wife, Carol. Don is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carol A. DeBlase; his son, Ron (Liz) Prettyman; his daughter, Patricia (Ron) Schultz; his two grandchildren, James and Rachel Prettyman; his sister, Joyce A. Varrassee; his brother in law, Edward Thomas; and his many nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass will be said on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish St. Casimir Church, 304 Clay Street, Woodbine, NJ, where viewing will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery will be private.
