DEASE, JOHN F. (Jack), of Cape May Court House, NJ died at home in Cape May Court House, NJ on December 16, 2015. He was born in Camden, NJ on March 12, 1922 and resided in Port Richey, Fl before moving back to NJ. Married to Dorothy E. Dease (Grimmer) also from Camden, NJ who died in 1998. John enlisted in the US Navy during World War II and served in the Atlantic and Pacific theatres of operation. He was a retired detective from the Camden City NJ police department. John was a lifetime member of Camden Local PBA #35, and served as President of the South Jersey Suburban PBA and Vice President of the New Jersey State PBA. He was a member of American Legion Post #335 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #6180 both in Hudson, FL. He was a Master Mason of New Jersey Lodge #52 and a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of South Jersey. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Tarpon Springs, FL. John is survived by daughters Judith Wert of Medford, NJ, Geraldine Cannon of Sicklerville, NJ; and granddaughter Sandra Cannon of Santa Monica, CA. He will be missed by his dear friends Dave and Debbie Conn. Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm.
