DEAN, ELIZABETH JANE, 79, of Avalon, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Robert Elmer Potter Montgomery and Mary Doherty Montgomery, she moved to Avalon in 1961 from Bryn Mawr. Jane was a member of St. Brendan the Navigator Parish Maris Stella Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Avalon Volunteer Fire Department. She loved reading and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook. Jane is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard E. Dean; her children, Theresa Ann Dean, Richard Edward Dean (Lisa), Robert Martin Dean (Kathleen), and Michael Allen Dean (Lori); her sister, Carol Friel (John Martin); her seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be said on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan the Navigator Parish Maris Stella Church, 50th Street and Dune Drive, Avalon, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Clermont, NJ.
