DANDO BETTY (nee Florence Elizabeth Brown) of Lancaster PA, formerly of Glenside PA and Avalon NJ, on July 29, 2011 at The Glen at Willow Valley. Born February 10, 1924 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of the late Samuel Wylie Brown, Jr and Florence (White) Brown. She was married to the late Charles A. Dando. She was predeceased by her brother Samuel Wylie Brown III. Betty grew up in the Logan section of Philadelphia and graduated from Girls High School of Philadelphia and Ursinus College. She spent most of her career teaching Health and Physical Education and retired as chair of the Mens and Womens Phys Ed Department at Cheltenham High School where she also coached the swim team. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Wyncote, PA where she served as a deacon and as an elder. In more recent years, Betty served on the Board of Directors of Ursinus College. She is survived by her children Anne Oldfield (Robert), Barbara (William Grubb), Susan Weed (Michael), and William (Kay). In addition to her children, Betty is survived by grandchildren Rob Oldfield, Allison Oldfield, Greg Oldfield (Anna), Jennifer Snavely Garza (Ruben), Jessica Snavely, Samantha Weed Neuman (Brian), Kymberli Weed, Patti Weed and Andi Weed and great grandchildren Kaya and Haley Oldfield. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church of Lancaster, PA.
