CUMMINGS, MARY ANN, 55

CUMMINGS, MARY ANN, 55, a lifelong resident of Staten Island, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017, after a brief illness. Mary was born on Staten Island, a daughter of Harriet and Thomas Cummings. She lived in her childhood home, in Pleasant Plains, with her beloved parents until moving to Cape May County, NJ. Mary worked at the Jersey Cape Diagnostic Training and Opportunity Center in Cape May Court House. Mary was a kid at heart. She loved to get manicures, watch classic TV shows but her greatest love was family. No matter where she went, she lit up the room. She loved going to work at the Staten Island and Cape May workshops for people with special needs and always brought a smile to the faces of everyone she worked with. She was sure to brighten everyone’s day. Her contagious smile and sunny disposition will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known her.
Mary is survived by her parents, Harriet and Thomas Cummings; her sister Frances Montesano and three brothers; Harry Cummings, Kevin (Mary) Cummings, and Gerard Cummings. Mary also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Mary was a communicant of the St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 6097 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, where a Memorial Mass will be celebrated on July 22nd at 10:30am.
