COSTIGAN, FRANCIS X., 92, formerly a resident of Cape May County passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014. Born in Philadelphia on Nov. 13, 1921, he was the youngest of 17 children. He graduated West Catholic High School and was a caddy at Overbrook Country Club and became an avid golfer. He served in the US Army during WWII. Later he worked for the NJ State Highway Dept. for 30 years before retiring to Myrtle Beach, SC; living on a golf course. He was married for 67 years to the love of his life Claire who passed in April of 2012. He was an active member of Grace Gospel Chapel in Rio Grande and a trustee and soloist. He was also a skilled carpenter and with the help of a friend and fellow church member renovated the Faith Fellowship Chapel in Mayville so the doors could open again. Francis was also an active and founding member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Marmora. He is survived by his only child, daughter Diane Hand of Wenonah, NJ and son-in-law David; 3 grandchildren: Heather Logan of Barrington, NJ, Melissa Del Collo of Haddonfield, NJ and Rich Hand of Egg Harbor Twp.; 5 great grandchildren: Olivia and Lilly Logan, Torie and Austin Del Collo, and Richard Hand. Funeral Serviced will be on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Ave. Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
