CORDIVARI, MICHAEL D. 1943- 2016 Michael D. Mike Cordivari, 73, formerly of Philadelphia and Avalon, NJ, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016, at The Manor at Perry Village, New Bloomfield, PA. Born in Coatesville, PA, he was the son of the late Pasquale P. and Annette (Mutchko) Cordivari. Mike was a 1961 graduate of Overbrook High School in Philadelphia. He worked for several telephone companies as a Communication Technician and retired from Alcatel/Lucent with 36 years service. He was a member of the Communications Workers of America. Mike also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966, earning the rank of Specialist 4th Class, and receiving the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal. In his teen years, Mike was a member of The Boy Scouts and worked as a Golf Caddy. He developed a love for golf, became an active golfer, and was a long-time member of the Avalon Golf Club. Mike also had a love for the beach. For many years he had a home in Avalon, enjoying the company of all of his friends and neighbors there. He was a member of the Maris Stella Church. He is survived by his brothers, David (Kim) Cordivari, and Thomas Cordivari; and a sister, Patricia Donnelly. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, at St. Joseph Church, 338 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, where family and friends may call from 11:30 a.m. 12:45 p.m. Interment will be private.
