COONEY, DORIS, 87, of Cape May Court House passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013 at Victoria Manor Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia to the late John and Mae (Conver) Sweeney, she lived in Sea Isle City for 25 years after moving from Drexel Hill. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and volunteered at the school. She also volunteered at the Red Cross for 17 years and was involved in the community activities in Sea Isle City. She enjoyed Big Band Music and 50’s Rock and Roll as well as traveling. Mrs. Cooney is survived by her husband, Nicholas; her children, Nancy Cooney (John Caufield), Kathleen Thompson (Stanley), Nicholas Cooney, and Theresa Cooney (Michael Pasceri); and her five grandchildren, Lauren, Colleen, Nicholas, Michael, and Alexandra. Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church, 4308 Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, August 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Radzieta Funeral Home, 9 Hand Avenue, Cape May Court House and on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery.
