CONTE, NANCY, 92, of Sea Isle City, NJ, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital, Philadelphia. Nancy was born in Ponza, Italy to the late Jerry and Laura Romano Conte, she moved here in 1968 from Bronx, NY. She worked as a seamstress in New York before moving down to Sea Isle City. She is best remembered for her love of cooking and has worked for many local restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved being around her great grandchildren.Mrs. Conte is survived by her daughter, Maria Pittaluga; her brother, Vincenzo Conte; her sister, Gabriele Fricano; her grandchildren, Nichola (Frank) Izzi, Andre Conte, Jennell (Jim) Wallash, and Nancy (Kevin) Yurkovich ; and her ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas; her son, Andre; and her brothers, Aniello and Silverio.Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 4308 Landis Avenue, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243 where viewing will be held from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland.
