CONOVER, MARY E., 83 – of Town Bank, NJ passed away September 25, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Roseman and widow of Robert J. Conover (pharmacist and owner of the former Conover’s Pharmacy on Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House, NJ). Mary grew up in Cape May and Wildwood, and attended Wildwood H.S. where she was Head Majorette and graduated in 1951. She served as Program Chairman and Guide at the CMC Museum from 1982-1984 and was a member of Cape May Rotary, where she served as a past President. In recent years Mary has been very active with Animal Rescue and the Animal Welfare Society. Her greatest joy was walking her dogs along the Delaware Bay, and she had a great love for all abandoned cats and dogs. She lobbied for the new Cape May County Animal Shelter, which opened in 2004. Mary had a great love for Cape May County and its history; the Roseman family have been residents since the 1700’s. Funeral Mass will be Friday October 2, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Our Lady Star of The Sea, 525 Washington St. Mall, Cape May, NJ 08204. Interment is private.
