COMELLAS, AMPARO

COMELLAS, AMPAROAmparo Comellas (“Palin”), 88, of Green Creek passed away peacefully with loved ones by her side on February 4, 2017 at Absecon Manor in Absecon, N.J. Born July 25th, 1928 in San Isabel, Puerto Rico. She married and resided in Cuba until forced to flee to the U.S. She eventually moved to Pleasantville, N.J. where she and her husband ran a successful restaurant, Fernando’s Hideaway in Atlantic City. In 1976 she and her husband relocated to Green Creek, operating a business which remains today. Palin was predeceased by her husband Fernando Comellas. She is survived by her two daughters Doris Bluth and Kai Vega, Also survived by two grandsons, Scott Bluth, Anthony Vega and great-grandson Jad Vega, also two sisters Iris Hernandez-Turner and Sonia Ryan. She shall be remembered for her love of gardening, tireless work ethic and her complete devotion to family.
