CETTEI, DAVID F., 58, of Cape May Court House, NJ earned his wings on January 30, 2014 even though he fought hard to stay with us. Born near Havertown, PA, he has been a local resident for almost 40 years. David is a life member of the Wildwood Crest Volunteer Fire Company, an avid beekeeper, and a lot of good things to a lot of good people. Dave enjoyed lending a helping hand; from building sets for middle school plays to being an umpire for little league, he never hesitated to step up to the plate. Dave is best remembered for always making time for coffee with a friend and comforting many with a corny joke. Dave is watching over his wife of 30 years, Kathy (nee Mooney), his grateful daughters Katie and Kerry, his sisters Cheryl Smith and Bonnie Morris, his brothers Edmond and Paul, many close family members and friends, and his firehouse family. Mass will begin at 11am at St. Simeon’s by-the-Sea in North Wildwood, NJ on Saturday, February 8th. Friends may call from 9-10:45am. Internment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lower Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist family with expenses incurred to “Fundraiser for David Cettei” at any PNC Bank or please mail to: PNC Bank, 1 Court House South Dennis Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ, 08210.
