CASSIDY, BEVERLY, 81, of Stone Harbor, NJ passed away April 7, 2017 with her closest friends and family by her side. At her request, no service will be held at this time. Ms. Cassidy was born in Newport News, VA and graduated from Randolph Macon Women’s college. She was a maverick and a successful business executive who lived and worked in Virginia, Florida, and for 30 years in New York City, NY. She worked many years for luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC as a senior human resources executive. For the last 25 plus years, Beverly called Stone Harbor her home. She was actively involved in the community, volunteering for the Wetlands Institute, Garden Club, Property Owners Association and the Bird Sanctuary Committee. She is survived by her brother Robert Cassidy and sister-in-law Patricia Cassidy of Savahhah, GA; nephews, Douglas Cassidy and his wife, Cici of Poquoson, VA and Robert Cassidy, Jr. of Savannah, GA; and niece Carol Cassidy Edmundson and her husband Gary of Newport News, VA. Donations may be made in Beverly’s name to The Wetlands Institute, 1075 Stone Harbor Blvd., Stone Harbor, NJ 08247 and Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
