CASALE, VINCENT A., 87, of Cape May, passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2017 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Vince honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. A man of great faith, Vince was an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Cape May where he spent many hours in prayer and volunteering in many capacities, specifically lecturing and serving as a Eucharistic Minister. In 1957 Vince, along with his wife Joan, moved to Cape May from Philadelphia and founded Casale’s Shoes on Washington Street where their business remains and is carried on within the family. He is predeceased by his daughter, Elizabeth Casale and five siblings. Vince is dearly missed by his loving family which includes his wife of 66 years, Joan E. (nee Moran); six children, Maryanne (and Jack) D’Aleo, Joan (and James) Doran, Vincent Casale (and Leslie), Carmela Casale, Dan Casale (and Denise) and Christina (and William) Gannon; brother, Joseph (and Loretta) Casale; 17 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends will be received on Wednesday (Nov. 29th) from 12:15pm until 1:30pm in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 525 Washington St., Cape May with Mass of Christian Burial to follow and begin at 1:30pm. Interment will follow Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cape May.
