CAMPBELL, RODGER J., age 80, of Villas passed away suddenly Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Cape Regional Med. Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA., and formerly of Northeast Philadelphia; he has been a Cape May area resident for 23 years. Rodger served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a Deputy Sheriff for the city of Philadelphia. Rodger was a member of the VFW Post 5345 of Villas, the American Legion William D Oxley Post # 133 of Philadelphia, and the DAV of Del Haven, NJ. Rodger was preceded in death by his two brothers: Thomas Campbell & Mark Campbell, and two sisters: Ann Hart & ReRe Pryor. He is survived by his: wife of 57 years Regina (nee Carr) Campbell; his children: Regina Campbell; Marie (James) Affatato; Rodger Campbell; Mark Campbell; Anne (Bill) ODonnell; Carol Campbell; and Henry Campbell. Also surviving are many grandchildren, one great grandchild, and several nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial held August 9, 2013 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymonds RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251. Interment followed at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
