CALVERLEY, THOMAS W., age 56, of North Cape May passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Community Hospital of Toms River, NJ after a long battle with cancer. Thomas was born August 2, 1960 in Cape May Court House, NJ and has been a life-long area resident. He is the son of the late Richard and the late Lorraine (Harris) Calverley. Thomas was a Commercial Fisherman and was a retired bartender for Union Local 54 at Harrah’s Casino. Thomas enjoyed fishing and will always be remembered for his sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard “Dickie” Calverley and his Aunt Jean Nicholson. Thomas is survived by his former wife Pamela (nee Quigley) Calverley; he was the loving father to: Jamie (Stephen) Carroll, Rosie Calverley, Tammy Calverley and grandfather to: Lucas Carroll. Also surviving are his siblings: Day Day Calverley Monaghan, Harry Calverley, Lori Calverley Nelson, Bruce Calverley, & Rich Calverley; and many nieces & nephews. There will be a Memorial Service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. The family suggests donations in Thomas’ memory to the Fisherman’s Memorial Fund, 997 Ocean Drive, Cape May, NJ 08204.
