BROWN, EDWARD A., 82 and BROWN,

BROWN, EDWARD A., 82 and BROWN, LOTTE, 79, of Naples, FL and Wildwood Crest, NJ, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. After serving in the United States Army, Ed worked as a union sheet metal contractor and Lotte was employed by the Plainfield Trust Company in Plainfield, NJ. Ed and Lotte were married on September 2, 1950. In 1963, they moved to Wildwood Crest, NJ and entered the motel business, purchasing the Bel-Air Motel in Wildwood Crest, operating it for over 25 years. In the late 1970’s they were partners in the building of the Acacia Beachfront Resort also in Wildwood Crest. Ed and Lotte retired to Enchanting Shores in Naples, FL in the early 1980’s, returning each summer to spend time with friends and family in Wildwood Crest. Ed and Lotte loved to travel and were longtime members of the Lighthouse Church in Cape May Court House, NJ and the Capri Christ Church in Isle of Capri, FL. They also lead church services in the Enchanting Shores Clubhouse. Lotte was predeceased by her parents Emil and Gertrude Frede and her brother Kurt Frede. Ed was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Johanna Brown. Ed is survived by his brothers John Brown (Terry), Tom Brown (Joanne), and Richard Brown. Lotte is survived by her sister Emma Berlinghof (Walter). They are survived by their children Thomas Brown (Susan) and Karen Sowers and grandchildren Michelle McCarty (Joshua), Krystal Howard (Mark), Chadd McCormick Brown and Shaun McCormick Brown. Services will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Lighthouse Church 1248 South Route 9 in Cape May Court House NJ at 11AM. Friends and relatives may call beginning at 10AM. Burial will be at Cold Spring Presbyterian Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in their name be made to the Lighthouse Church. Arr: Ingersoll-Greenwood FH
