BROUGHTON, ALICE Y., 71, of Woodbine, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Cape Regional Medical Center. Born in Harrisburg, PA to the late Robert and Marie Blake Young, she was a longtime resident of Woodbine. She was formerly employed at Woodbine Developmental Center and Wheaton Glass. Alice enjoyed fishing, cooking, and gardening. She loved the Lord and loved going to church. She was a member of Woodbine Pentecostal Church. Alice is survived by her children, Vicky Broughton, Jeffery (Tina) Broughton, and Valerie (Ronald) Bolling; her sisters and brother, Loretta Rogers, Elnora Foster, and Richard Young; 18 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sons, Richard Turner, Sr. and Ernest Turner, Sr.; and her sisters, Mildred Ducy Bolling, Marie Sweetheart Edwards, and Gloria Barbara Trite. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1324 DeHirsch Avenue, Woodbine, where viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
