BROCKMAN, CHARLES ROBERT “CHUCK” – born April 7, 1936 passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Monday April 7th his 78th birthday. Chuck was predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Catherine Brockman of Phoenixville, PA; his stepmother, Pauline Brockma;n and his brother, Stanley “Buck” Brockman. A 1957 graduate of Villanova University, Chuck was a founding member of the Villanova Singers. After graduation, Chuck served honorably in the United States Navy. While serving, he attended nuclear weapons school and served on the Admiral’s staff as a Nuclear Weapons Officer. After serving six years in the Navy, Chuck entered the emerging computer field in 1963 and continued in the industry until 1987. Aside from business, Chuck’s passion was the stage. He truly enjoyed Community Theater and played lead roles in Damn Yankees, 1776, Oklahoma, Best Little Whore House in Texas, Detective Story, Lil Abner and the role he was born to play, Tevye, in Fiddler on the Roof. Chuck is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty-Jane (nee: DeLeo); and their loving seven children, Scott (Christine O’Neil), Beth-Ann Rooney (Jim), Christopher, Amy Tokarczyk (Mike), Paul, Andrew (Janine), Marnie Sawyer (Tommy); his adoring sisters, Margaret Tighe, Kathy Rhodes, Joni Mahoney, Patti Ehrhart and Bonesy Mastascusa; and his cherished grandchildren, Jamie Elizabeth, Ann-Marie, Mary-Kathryn, Kimi, Hailee, Chance, Cole, Ryland, Westyn and Tatum; along with many nieces and nephews. A mass of the Christian Burial will celebrate Chuck’s life at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Cape May Courthouse, NJ on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Visitation at 9am and Mass at 10am. Chuck will be buried at the Veteran’s Cemetery immediately following.
