BRADY, DONALD G., 86, formerly of Ocean City and Del Haven, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Vineland Veterans’ Memorial Home. He was born May 22, 1930, in Jersey City, NJ, to John and Elna (Risberg) Brady. He was a Villanova University graduate and a US Navy veteran. Throughout his life, he also resided in Lansdowne, PA; Atlantic City, NJ; and Cocoa Beach, FL. Don was an avid golfer and tennis player and a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan, and he was well known for his razor-sharp wit.
Don is predeceased by his brother Jack. He is survived by his sister, Elna Carolyn (Carol) Bernard of Orange, NJ, and five children and their spouses: Michael Brady (Lora) of Brick, NJ; Mary Ann Rice (Kenny) of Hartsville, SC; Susan Fresconi (Jay) of Wilmington, DE; Dennis Brady (Joan) of Bluffton, SC; and Kristin Yonko (Peter) of Newark, DE. He was especially proud of his four grandchildren, who knew him as “Ace”: Kathryn Rath of Boston, MA; Sean Brady of Columbia, SC; Molly Brady of Washington, DC; and Jamie Yonko of Newark, DE.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 8 at 11:00 at the Cape May County Veterans’ Cemetery Chapel, Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210. Condolences at www.radzieta.com
